Thanks to a $20,000 Aydelott Travel Award, Yuria J. Sloane, a senior architecture student, traveled this summer to Bolivia, Japan, New Zealand and Norway to research the use of architecture as a tool of oppression and liberation for indigenous communities.
I chose CAAD at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ because it has a great studio environment, allowing me to effectively integrate my design, math, physics and art skills. Since middle school, I have wanted to pursue architecture, and I'm fortunate to be studying architecture at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ because of its great faculty and peers.
My favorite spot on campus is the walking trail around Chadwick Lake because it is the perfect place for me to walk on stressful days. I enjoy the scenery around the lake.
