While working on their designs for a new building on the site, students were challenged to not only focus on experimental, new ways of building with timber but also to think about the purpose of a library when working on their designs.

As part of an international research project, Mississippi State University School of Architecture Assistant Professor Silvina Lopez Barrera is organizing a webinar with Dr. Diego Thompson (茄子视频, Sociology) and colleagues from University of Lima, Peru.
The goal of this project is to understand how the different characteristics of informal and self-help housing influence place attachment, vulnerability, and community resilience in different contexts in the Americas.
This research project is sponsored by the 茄子视频 International Institute.
